Antonio Banderas – Anta Banderas is a wine estate in Ribera del Duero, Spain
Drew Barrymore – Barrymore Wines, a collaboration with Decordi in Italy and importer Wilson Daniels – A gold medal-winning Pinot Grigio. According to the Decordi winery’s Web site, “the 2011 Barrymore Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie IGT is a dry and fruity wine made with grapes from the Veneto, Friuli and South Tyrol regions.”
Carole Bouquet – Sanguo D’Or, Sicily, Italy – Bond girl from For Your Eyes Only
Lorraine Bracco – Bracco Wines, Tuscany for the Sopranos / Goodfellas actress. Her daughter is named Margaux after Chateau Margaux – didn’t Hemingway get here first?
Raymond Burr – the Dry Creek Valley estate is now managed by his partner
James Cameron – the director of The Terminator, Avatar et al. bought the Beaufort Vineyard & Estate Winery in British Columbia in 2014. The winery is located in the Comax Valley on the east coast of Vancouver Island. It is a relatively small estate consisting of just of three hectares of vineyards and producing around 2000 cases per year.
Candace Cameron-Bure – the actress who played DJ Tanner for 8 years in Full House co-owns Bure Family Wines with her husband, former professional NHL player, Valeri Bure and friend Joshua Peeples. The wines are made at Chateau Boswell Winery in St. Helena, California
George Clooney – has recently developed the Casamigos Tequila brand in collaboration with Rande Gerber – the husband of Cindy Crawford
Francis Ford Coppola – the “Godfather” of celebrity wine based at the Rubicon Estate Winery in Napa Valley. One of the few celebrity wine producers who has made the transition to serious wine producer.
Gerard Depardieu – his main property is Chateau de Tigne in Anjou, in the Loire Valley. Also has vineyards in Bordeaux, Languedoc, Algeria, Argentina, Morocco, Spain, Sicily and the US – some in collaboration with Bernard Magrez and Michel Rolland
Danny DeVito – has created his own brand of Limoncello – Danny DeVito’s Premium Limoncello
Emilio Estevez – former Brat-Packer and brother of Charlie Sheen has Casa Dumetz located in Malibu, CA. Estevez planted his vines in 2004, with the first wines released in 2008. Mrs Estevez is a winemaker!
Richard Gere – has a new range of wines from Tuscany produced by Tenuta San Filippo di Montalcino
Danny Glover – grows grapes in Sonoma
Adrien Grenier – The Entourage star and film producer Peter Glatzer make a red blend called SHFT in Pasa Robles, marketed by Domaine Select.

John Lasseter – Chief Creative Officer at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios has the Lasseter Family Winery in Sonoma County
Carina Lau – Chinese-born Hong Kong Actress Carina Lau launched a range of wines at Vinexpo 2015 in Bordeaux. The range includes Bordeaux Supérieur, Médoc, Saint-Emilion, Champagnes and sparkling wines.
Kyle MacLachlan – Pursued by Bear Wine, Columbia Calley, Washington – a collaboration with winemaker Eric Dunham for the Blue Velvet, Dune and Desperate Housewives actor
Sam Neill – Two Paddocks in Central Otago, NZ. Neill’s wines are very highly regarded and he doesn’t really trade on his celebrity wine status, having made the move to being considered a good producer in his own right.
Paul Newman – had a collaboration with Rebel Wine Company in California.
Fess Parker – Fess Parker Winery for the Davy Crockett / Daniel Boone actor – featured in Sideways
Brad Pitt – Brad Pitt and his wife own Chateau Miravel in Provence, France. This place has quite a celebrity history. It was French classical / jazz crossover piano player Jaques Loussier that put it on the map when he built a recording studio there. It has since been used by Sting, The Cranberries and Pink Floyd (who recorded some of The Wall tracks here). One of the wines they produce is a Pink Floyd Rosé. There is also a Lady Jane white wine, so I assume there is a Rolling Stones connection too.
Jason Priestley – Black Hills Estate Winery, Okanagan, British Columbia for the former 90120 actor
Kurt Russell – collaborates with California’s Ampelos Cellars.
Michael Seresin – Seresin Estate, Marlborough, NZ. This New Zealand cinematographer is best know for collaborations with Alan Parker in Bugsy Malone, Midnight Express, Fame, Birdy etc.
Zhao Wei – in 2011 Chinese Actress Zhao Wei purchased Chateau Monlot Saint Emilion Grand Cru, a vineyard of 8.5 hectares in the foothills of Saint Emilion. She was in Shaolin Soccer – a classic film and one of my favourites.
Robin Williams – Purchased a 23 acre vineyard as part of his 653 acre estate in the Mayacamas Mountains, Napa Valley called Villa Sorriso. The grapes were sold to Robert Craig at Robert Craig Winery for his Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon. Following Williams death in 2014, the property was finally sold to Alfred and Melanie Tesseron, the owners of Chateau Pontet Canet in Pauillac, Bordeaux.
Musicans / Bands Celebrity Wine
AC/DC – range of wines from the Warburn Estate in Australia including a Back in Black Shiraz from Riverina. I can’t believe they don’t have a Whole Lotta Rosé!
BB King – Who’d have thought it! The 87-year-old BB King, one of the greatest ever blues guitarists, has collaborated with Bodega Santa Cruz in Almansa in southeastern Spain to release a pair of wines in the US market. I am not sure how much input BB has into these but they will be sold in his BB King Blues Clubs.
Andrea Bocelli – Bocelli’s family have been making wine for generations in Italy. Bocelli is now producing a Prosecco with his winemaking brother Alberto.
Mariah Carey – launched a Champagne called Angel Hint of Pink by MC and cost up to $290,000 per bottle apprently.
Les Claypool – Claypool Cellars, Russian River Valley, CA – lead vocalist and bassist in Primus
Bruce Cohn – Former manager of The Doobie Brothers owns B.C. Cohn Winery in Sonoma County
P Diddy – One of the most successful celebrity drinks brands is rapper P Diddy’s Ciroc Vodka, he owns 50% of the company and never misses a chance to promote it.
Mick Fleetwood – Legendary Fleetwood Mac drummer owns Mick Fleetwood Private Cellar in Lake County, CA., a collaboration with Langtry Estate and Vineyards, not directly in involved in winemaking.
“Fergie” – Stacy Ferguson, singer with Black Eyed Peas owns Ferguson Crest in the Santa Inez Valley, California. The red blend is called Fergalicious
Cee Lo Green – singer, producer and ex Gnarls Barkley member has a rather surprising tie up with Ty Yu Sake in Japan. Cee Lo now owns a stake in the business and actively promotes the brand
Goo Goo Dolls – Charity project with Noni Bacca Winery in North Carolina for Compass House. A competition is being held for fans to design the label
Sammy Hagar – the lead singer of Van Halen, opened the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Mexico in 1992. He also became something of a Tequila expert and launched the Cabo Wabo Tequila brand, a very highly regarded Tequila. Hagar sold an 80% stake in the Cabo Wabo Tequila to Gruppo Campari in 2007.
Hanson – look out for their MMMhop beer, no really. An IPA apparently.
Mick Hucknall – The Simply Red frontman has Il Cantante, a collaboration with Italian winemaker Salvo Foti in Sicily, Italy. The property was put up for sale in 2014.
Iron Maiden – Heavy metal group Iron Maiden has released a cask ale in partnership with Cheshire brewery Robinsons. Called Trooper, after one of Iron Maiden’s most famous songs, and created by Bruce Dickinson, the label features the band’s skeletal mascot Eddie
Journey – launched a wine in collaboration with De La Montanya winery
Maynard James Keenan – Lead singer from Tool and A Perfect Circle owns Merkin Vineyards and is the winemaker at Caduceus Cellars in the Verde Valley, Arizona. Quite a serious player in the celebrity wine world.
Toby Keith – the country music star owns the Wild Shot Mezcal brand, a type of tequila.
Lil Jon – American rapper has Little Jonathan Winery in the Central Coast, CA. A joint venture with Californian winemaker Alison Crowe.
Lil’ Kim – The singer has an vodka called Three Olives Vodka.
Jacques Loussier – used to own Chateau Miravel, now owned by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Loussier installed a recording studio their used by all sort of famous bands.
Ludacris – the rapper has launched a Cognac brand called Conjure.
Madonna – Ciccone Vineyard and Winery in Leelanau Peninsula, Michigan. A collaboration with here father Silvio “Tony” Ciccone
Marilyn Manson – Mansinthe! An Absinthe produced in Switzerland lauched in 2007.
Dave Matthews – owns the 10 acre Blenheim Vineyards, Charlottesville, VA which is managed by his brother Peter. The Dreaming Tree range of wines is made in partnership with winemaker Steve Reeder.
Eddie Money – launched a wine in collaboration with De La Montanya winery
Motorhead – have a range of wine and Bastards Lager, brewed in Sweden. There is a red wine called Sacrifice from South Eastern Australia – available as a bag in box designed to look like a guitar amp!
Dave Mustaine – Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, and his wife Pam Casselberry, have released a Mustaine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon in conjunction with Fallbrook Winery winemaker Vernon Kindred. Mustaine is a neighbour of Fallbrook Winery in San Diego Country.
Vince Neil – the vocalist for metal band Motley Crue has launched Vince Vineyards as well as Tatuado Tequila and Vodka
Willie Nelson – Old Whiskey River Bourbon. Willie helped to create this brand via a tasting session with Heaven Hill Distilleries.
Olivia Newton-John – Koala Blue Wine in South Australia for the singer and Grease actress. In 2015 she released a Merlot and Chardonnay from California under her ‘Pink and Blue For Two’ label, with ten per cent of the proceeds going to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer And Wellness Centre in Australia and a further ten per cent to the PB42.org campaign committed to the early detection of prostate and breast cancer. The Chardonnay is from the Anderson Valley.
The Pogues – Irish punk / folk / rock band The Pogues most famous for Shane MacGowan’s boozing and his wonderful duet with Kirsty MacColl, Fairytale of New York, have release an Irish Whiskey. The whiskey is made in conjunction with West Cork Distillers.
Queen – Still going strong even after the death of lead singer Freddie Mercury, Queen have launched not only Killer Queen Vodka but also Bohemian Lager! The beer is made from water, Czech barley malt and Noble Saaz hops and is described as a “golden, hoppy lager”. The label includes a crest designed by Freddie Mercury himself while he was a student at Ealing Art College in London. Killer Queen Vodka is made by JSC Latvijas balzams the distillery that also makes Stolichnaya. The Vodka is distilled seven times and filtered through quartz sand and birch charcoal.
Cliff Richard – Adegor de Cantor in the Algarve, Portugal – a collaboration with Quinta do Miradouro – for the youthful singer who likes to get his hands dirty in the vineyard!
Carlos Santana – the world famous Mexican-born guitarist is the brand owner of Casa Noble Tequila and his album artwork features in the packaging.
Boz Scaggs – Scaggs Vineyard, Mt. Veeder, California for the American singer, songwriter and guitarist. Scaggs and his wife started planting Rhone varietals in 2000 and grow Mourvedre, Grenache and Syrah. Their farm has been certified organic since 2005.
Slayer – Reign in Blood wine only available in Sweden (at the moment)
Sting and Trudy Styler – Ex front man for the Police and his wife actress and film producer Trudy Styler own a wine estate in Tuscany called Tenuta Il Palagio. There are some 30 acres of vines and wine made included Sister Moon and the Super-Tuscan Casino Delle Vie.
Geoff Tate – Lead vocalist for heavy metal band Queensryche has made a wine with Holly Turner and Andy Slusarenko of Three Rivers Winery in Washington’s Walla Walla wine-growing appellation. First release is Insania (are you reading this Pater Andre?) a Cabernet, Malbec and Petit Verdot blend.
Courtney Taylor-Taylor – singer / guitarist for one of my favourite bands, The Dandy Warhols has an Italian wine from Sicily called Chateau Taylor-Taylor “Bocca d’Avolo” – a blend of 90 percent Nero d’Avola and 10 percent Grillo grapes – only 75 cases of the 2010 released.
Timbaland – Grammy-winning music producer has a range of sparkling liqueurs called Le Sutra.
Justin Timberlake – 901 Tequila, named after the area code of Memphis, Timberlake’s hometown.
Train – the band has a range of wines called Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co.
Gabrielle Union – Union has launched a rather “interestingly named” Vanilla Puddin Chardonnay, from the Napa Valley, in a collaboration with Jam Cellars and Brand Elite.
Kanye West – It was reported in January 2016 that Kanye will be making wine at his 3.5 acre California estate in Hidden Hills in the San Fernando Valley. For private consumption only!
Whitesnake – Lauched a Whitesnake Zinfandel via De La Montanya wines in 2008. De La Montanya is a family winery that produces approximately 4,500 cases per year using grapes spanning five appellations from the Sonoma Coast to Lake County in Northern California.
TV / Other Celebrity Wine
Roberto Cavalli – the fashion designer has his own vodka brand
Guy Fieri – As of January 2013 TV Chef and presenter Guy Fieri has bought 5 acres of Pinot Noir vines in Sonoma County and plans to produce a wine called Hunt and Ryde named after his sons Hunter and Ryder. Plans are being submitted for tasting room and Italian style piazza events etc.
Bethenny Frankel – Real Housewives of New York. Has created a range of ready to drink range of low calorie cocktails called Skinnygirl Cocktails – sold to Beam Global in 2010
Kathy Lee Gifford – NBC’s Today host has a collaboration with Scheid Vineyards in Monterey County called Gifft – there is a Chardonnay and a red blend.
Teresa Giudice – Real Housewives of New Jersey. Puts her name to the Fabellini a pre-mixed Bellini made with prosecco and peach nectar
Paris Hilton – Who can forget Paris Hilton’s Prosecco in a can!
Ron Jeremy – Legendary porn star Ron Jeremy has a very good 7 year old rum from Panama called Ron de Jeremy, geddit? Nice pun. Nice rum too.
Nelson Mandela – not Nelson Madela himself but Makaziwe Mandela and Tukwini Mandela—daughter and granddaughter, respectively, of South Africa’s former president and global icon – have launched House of Mandela Wines to promote fair trade and help more black South Africans benefit from the wine business. They do not actually own vineyard but work closely with several wineries to produce the brand.
Rupert Murdoch – has purchased the 16-acre Moraga Vineyards estate, which is located in the hills above Bel Air. Murdoch bought the property from Thomas Jones, the former CEO of Northrop Grumman, who has owned it for 30 years. Jones bought the vineyard from Victor Fleming the director of Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz.
Natalie Oliveros – aka porn star Savanna Samson has a range of Italian wines famously rated by Robert Parker. She makes a Brunello di Montalcino, amongst other wines, under the Fattoria La Fiorita name
Rex Pickett – The author of Sideways which was turned into the hit film of the same name has released a Pinot Noir called Ne Plus Ultra from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. It is made from grapes grown at high altitude on Laurelwood soils at Twelve Oaks Estate Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA.
Ramona Singer – of Real Houswives:New York has a lauched a Pinot Grigio in conjunction with Opici Wine Company
The Smothers Brothers – top red wine produced at Remick Ridge in Sonoma Valley
Donald Trump – Super premium Vodka brand – now defunct. The celebrity wine and drinks world is full of projects that have long since disappeared. Whether the project has failed or the celebrity has simply dropped out of the limelight.
Golf Celebrity Wine
Fred Couples – partnership with winemaker Mitch Consentino called Couples and Co., a brand from pureCru Napa Valley. Makes a Cal-Ital blend and others.
John Daley – now defunct range of wines from South Africa. He also has a cocktail named after him, an alcoholic version of the Arnold Palmer!
Luke Donald – Napa Valley range of wines from Terlato Wines International. “Luke Donald plays an active role in crafting the wines that bear his name. His personal involvement in the blending makes the wines original and unique; wines that best reflect his own personality and style.” A Claret-style blend.
Ernie Els – Ernie Els Wines, Stellenbosch, South Africa. Originally started with his friend and partner Jean Engelbrecht in 1999, first vintage produced in 2000.
Nick Faldo – Nick Faldo Wines, Coonawarra, Australia. Faldo’s wines are produced by Katnook Estate and include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon.
David Frost – Frost’s family had been in the wine trade for over 60 years, with their own vineyards in South Africa. Frost bought his own 300 acre vineyard in Paarl, South Africa in 1994.
Retief Goosen – Produces wines in the Upper Langkloof Appellation in the coolest wine growing region in South Africa.
Christie Kerr – Collaboration with Suzanne Pride Bryan of Pride Mountain Vineyards in the Napa Valley. Kerr’s Curvature range of wines helps to raise awareness and money for breast cancer, proceeds go towards breast cancer research.
Jack Nicklaus – Napa Valley range of wines from Terlato Wines International
Greg Norman – Greg Norman Estates in South Australia and California, a collaboration with Beringer Blass
Christy O’Connor Jr – Galway-born O’Connor Jr produces wines from the Alentejo region of Portugal.
Arnold Palmer – Arnold Palmer Wines a collaboration with Luna Vineyards in California. The first vintage was 2005.
Gary Player – Player’s “Black Knight” range of wines is named after Player’s nickname derived from often playing in all-black golfing clothes. The wines are made by Quoin Rock Winery in Stellenbosch.
Annika Sorenstam – Produces a range of wine in collaboration with Wente Vineyards in the Livermore Valley, California. First release in 2009.
Mike Weir – Lauched Mike Weir Wine Estate in Niagara, Canada in 2005. Aims to promote Niagara Region wines and raise money for his charity, the Mike Weir Foundation.
Cricket Celebrity Wine
James Anderson – Probably better known as Jimmy Anderson, England’s leading test wicket-taker has made a range of wines called the “The Numbers” in conjunction with the Robert Vic family vineyard in Beziers in the Languedoc, France.
Ian Botham – Botham Merrill Willis – BMW – A joint venture between legendary Australian wine-maker Geoff Merrill and cricketers Ian Botham and Bob Willis.
Mark Boucher – Has lauched a joint venture with fellow South African cricketer Jacques Kallis. They make a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Sauvignon Blanc in collaboration with Rietvallei Estate in Robertson, South Africa.

David Warner – Australian Test Batsman David Warner has recently purchased a major stake and made a significant investment in Australian craft Vodka brand 666. It is named 666 Pure Tasmanian Vodka, the Devil’s number, after the Tasmanian Devil and is made using Tasmanian barley and water sourced from Tasmania’s Cape Grim.

Valeri Bure – the retired Russian ice hockey player (10 seasons in the NHL) co-owns Bure Family Wines with his wife Candace Cameron-Bure, the actress who played DJ Tanner for 8 years in Full House, and friend Joshua Peeples. The wines are made at Chateau Boswell Winery in St. Helena, California
Wayne Gretsky – Ice Hockey great teamed up with Creekside Estate and launched Wayne Gretsky Estate wines in 2009.

Yao Ming – Retired 7ft 6 basketball player owns Yao Family Wines in the Napa Valley

Drew Bledsoe – Former New England Patriots quarterback has the Doubleback range of wines from Washington State.
Mike Ditka – Napa Valley range of wines from Terlato Wines International
Victor Green – Former American football star produces a Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc called 21 Blitz in homage to his playing number and agressive playing style
Dan Marino – NFL Superstar Dan Marino has put his name to a range of wines called Marino Estates Vineatge 13 to help raise money for his children’s foundation

David Beckham – Apparently bought his wife Victoria a vineyard in Napa for her 34th birthday – watch this space! The former England football captain David Beckham has also launched a whisky in partnership with drinks giant Diageo (Haig Whisky) and TV producer Simon Fuller – Haig Club Single Grain Scotch Whisky
David Ginola – On his retirement former Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle and Italian international invested in a vineyard in Provence called Coste Brulade and makes Cotes de Provence wines
Lionel Messi – three time world footballer of the year has launched a range of wine from Argentinian vineyard Bodega Valentin Bianchi – all profits go to the Lionel Messi Foundation
Andrea Pirlo – Juventus and Italian international footballer has a vineyard in Italy and makes a Trebbiano and has Merlot and Sangiovese planted too.
Motorsport Celebrity Wine
Mario Andretti – Motor racing legend owns the 42 acre wine estate Andretti Winery in the Napa Valley with wide variety of wines planted including Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot and Zinfandel
Jarno Trulli – the Former F1 driver Jarno Trulli is the co-owner of a vineyard in the Abruzzo region called Castorani. There is a range of “Jarno” wines and also a couple of Grappas.
Other Sports Celebrity Wine
Patrick Chan – Canadian figure skater Patrick Chan has just put his name to a Canadian wine. The three-time world champion figure skater and Olympic silver medalist has launched joint venture with Flat Rock Cellars of Jordan, Ontaria. The wine is an Icewine called On Ice. Get it?
Elvis Stojko – the Former Canadian figure skater has of Canadian table wine range called Elvis Stokjo Wines including a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot produced in partnership with Small Talk Vineyards of Niagara on the Lake. A portion of all sales goes to Swim Canada to assist athletes.
